AN Arizona mens CHORUS

Sharing our love of barbershop

Arizona Vocal Union is a barbershop chorus devoted to performance quality through the dedication and commitment of its members.

What makes us unique

These are the two things that we’d like to be known for.

1. Excellence in everything we do

We don’t always get there, but that is our goal. As many of you may remember from your parents growing up, “If anything is worth doing, it is worth doing well”.

2. Fellowship and fun

We don’t always get here either, but it is always our goal. Fellowship and fun has been a hallmark of barbershop singing from the beginning. This is music for everyone to enjoy, not just for the elite.

Priorities

✓ Musical excellence
✓ Fellowship and fun in the barbershop trandition

Rehearsal Time

✓ Knowledgable instruction
✓ Musically minded
✓ Focus on performance

Monthly Rehearsals

We have two rehearsal most months and only one in the summer and during the holidays. This minimizes the impact on your other regular personal and professional commitments.

Members commit to practice on their own between each rehearsal, focusing on leaning music and lyrics to ensure each practice is as productive as possible.

The end goal is to achieve a high caliber, performance quality sound without requiring a burdensome time commitment.

It doesn’t matter if you have decades of experience singing barbershop or none at all. We welcome men of all ages to join us at our next rehearsal.
